If you’ve dropped into our A&E for medical advice following an illness or injury, chances are you’ll need a visit to the pharmacy too.
Fortunately, East Care Urgent Care has a handy after-hours pharmacy right by our front door.
So if you’ve been given a prescription from our team, visit the SuperClinic Pharmacy in East Auckland.
Similarly, if you need to pick up an online prescription from your GP after hours, ask them to send it directly to the pharmacist.
Open on the weekend for all your pharmacy needs, 8 am - 10pm.
Drop into the Pharmacy any weekend, including Public holidays. Aside from prescriptions, the pharmacist can also support your family with advice on over-the-counter products.
How to get an urgent prescription over the weekend or afterhours.
It’s not uncommon to need an urgent prescription after hours for various reasons.
Importantly, if you need antibiotics for infections or illness, it’s important not to wait.
Types of illness that need antibiotics include:
- Cellulitis skin infections spread quickly and can cause serious illness.
- Eye Infections such as Conjunctivitis.
- Ear infections can be especially painful for children.
- Urinary Tract Infections – Remember, if a lab test shows antibiotic resistance, you might need to change antibiotics.
- Emergency contraception – if you are worried following unprotected sex get help as soon as possible. The Morning After pill has higher effectiveness if taken within the first 24 hours.

To join our clinic, you first need to fill out the patient enrolment forms to register with the PHO that we belong to. This is a Ministry of Health requirement. You will need to provide proof of identity and eligibility which may include the following forms of identification:
- NZ Passport or NZ birth certificate
- International passport with resident visa OR work visa of minimum 24-month duration
On the enrolment form you need to indicate which of our doctors (currently taking new patients) that you would like to be registered with.
Yes. As part of completing your enrollment, we request that you have a new patient screening appointment with one of our Nursing or Medical Centre Assistant team members.
This new patient appointment enables our team to work with you to better understand your current health and wellbeing.
Following the new patient appointment as above, you can book your first consultation with your nominated doctor.
The length of your first appointment with your new doctor will be as follows:
